A catch-all e-mailbox is one that collects all the emails sent to invalid email addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone misspells it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Just one mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and in this way you will never miss messages because the other side has an outdated address or has made a typo. The downside of configuring a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving lots of spam emails, but this issue can be solved by using an anti-spam protection solution. It’s also important to keep in mind that a mailbox with an active catch-all functionality cannot forward inbound messages to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Website Hosting

You’ll be able to set up a catch-all e-mailbox without difficulty in case you’ve got a website hosting plan with our company. The Email Manager tool in our custom-built Hepsia Control Panel is full-featured, yet stunningly easy to work with, and it will allow you to activate various features, including the catch-all one, with just a few clicks of the mouse. All the mailboxes that you’ve created will be displayed alphabetically in this section and on the right-hand side of each one you will notice a mini "Catch-all" icon. Clicking it once will activate the feature, clicking it again will disable it. Since you can have just one such mailbox per domain name, our system will alert you if you already have another one with this feature activated or if you’ve got active email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all option can be enabled without difficulty if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve set up using the domains hosted in the account will be displayed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll find a small-size sign conveniently situated right next to each one of them. With only one single click of the mouse, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with this option already enabled and there isn't activated email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and activate the feature through the contextual menu that will come into view. If any of the conditions for creating a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will notify you, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
